In contrast to axial fans, centrifugal fans require high pressure with a low air volume. They are always used in instances where the air flow is to be directed in a very compressed manner to a specific area. Axial fans are used, for example, for drying materials or substances.

KOSTAL drive controllers from the INVEOR MPP product line are even at home in the events sector. For example, the controls are used to operate snow cannons. The latter example of use also illustrates how robust products from the INVEOR family have to be in order to survive in continuous operation. Variable frequency drives from KOSTAL work unimpeachably even at low temperatures and when used outdoors. Neither humidity nor sub-zero temperatures can harm the devices. So the devices operate in an extended temperature range of -40°C to +50°C without derating at 8 kHz.

Also worth mentioning is the IP protective class 65, with which KOSTAL variable frequency drives are protected against water jets and dust. One of the features that makes this possible is a robust and attractive die-cast aluminium casing.
