After a short foray into the world of KOSTAL and our products, we provided a theoretical introduction to marketing. Marketing – what’s it all about? What do marketing staff do? What is the point of marketing in a company and how does it fit into the organisational structure? We were able to answer all these questions. But there is no point in teaching theory without practice so afterwards the students had the opportunity to try out a marketing project for themselves and developed a branding concept. They then presented and explained the arguments for their results to the group. The practical element and real-life insight into marketing went down well with the participants. We saw this from the creative solutions the groups produced!
As a family-owned company, we regularly get involved in local and regional matters. This is the third year in a row that we have sponsored the management study group, organised by the SIHK (South Westphalian Chamber of Commerce and Industry). The study group allows students to familiarise themselves with various professions and local companies.
