The INVEOR MPP as a drive controller with a modular configuration for radial fans

In contrast to axial fans, centrifugal fans require high pressure with a low air volume. They are always used in instances where the air flow is to be directed in a very compressed manner to a specific area. Axial fans are used, for example, for drying materials or substances.

Depending on the application scenario, the KOSTAL variable frequency drive offers a very wide range of operating options (e.g. foil keypad or integrated MMI) as well as numerous potential fieldbus options. This gives users complete control of all parameters.

KOSTAL drive controllers: Reliable operation of axial fans under the most demanding conditions

Axial fans are used in applications where high volume flows are required in conjunction with low pressures. Here, one example might be the continuous exchange of air masses as in stable ventilation. Even in this environment with high dirt and acid loads, the INVEOR performs its work reliably. Another area of application for axial fans is in climate technology, where axial fans are used to cool heat exchangers, for example. 

In these applications, the INVEOR is often exposed to very high or very low temperatures and humidity.

Its design without a fan and its high-quality die-cast aluminium casing enable it to achieve the high IP65 protection class and to withstand even the most adverse conditions as a result. You do not have to compromise on efficiency either. 

KOSTAL variable frequency drives for operating snow cannons

KOSTAL drive controllers from the INVEOR MPP product line are even at home in the events sector. For example, the controls are used to operate snow cannons. The latter example of use also illustrates how robust products from the INVEOR family have to be in order to survive in continuous operation. Variable frequency drives from KOSTAL work unimpeachably even at low temperatures and when used outdoors. Neither humidity nor sub-zero temperatures can harm the devices. So the devices operate in an extended temperature range of -40°C to +50°C without derating at 8 kHz.

Also worth mentioning is the IP protective class 65, with which KOSTAL variable frequency drives are protected against water jets and dust. One of the features that makes this possible is a robust and attractive die-cast aluminium casing.

Finally, our INVEOR products impress users with their wide range of communication options, which even include Bluetooth and an INVERTERapp, allowing a snow gun to be controlled without any cables whatsoever.
